Formation
Intelligence of Faith
The Dominican tradition places great emphasis on study and the deepening of Faith as a means of better understanding the world around us and fully realizing our Christian mission.
As a lay Dominican, basic formation enables us to get to know the elements of Dominican spirituality in order to prepare ourselves for an eventual commitment.
Ongoing formation is also offered by each fraternity to its members, enabling them to continue their journey in the midst of a life that is constantly changing.
Each fraternity is responsible for the initial and ongoing formation of its members. The Rule of the Lay Dominicans and the Directory of our Province provide the guidelines for this formation. Each fraternity adapts formation to its own needs and local situation.
