Who We Are

For over 30 years, fraternity Fra Angelico has been a spiritual family—deep friendships rooted in shared faith, prayer, study, justice, pilgrimage, and daily compassion. Living the Dominican way means seeking God together, growing through one another, and building His house in hope. In this communion, faith becomes home—permanent, transformative, and deeply grateful.

For 25 years, I have remained committed as a lay Dominican out of a deep love for the spirituality of St. Dominic. Despite doubts and storms, each trial has strengthened my faithfulness. Marriage, fatherhood, and the founding of a new fraternity have nourished my commitment, inspired by Pier-Giorgio Frassati, in hope, charity, and brotherly love.

Rooted in formative encounters with the Dominicans in St-Hyacinthe, my commitment grew through living theology, study, and dialogue. Inspired by Veritas, I seek truth through prayer, reflection, and fraternity. In Albert-le-Grand, I found solidarity and joy. As a Lay Dominican, I unite faith, study, and engaged presence in the world.

From Cain’s violence to daily quarrels, human sin is undeniable. Yet greater still is God’s mercy. In Christ, we are reborn, joy replacing despair. For me, a Lay Dominican fraternity is a seed of the Kingdom—where imperfect hearts learn real fraternal love, and hope transforms rivalry into communion.

Becoming a Lay Dominican brought balance and stability to my baptismal vocation through the four pillars: prayer, community, study, and apostolate. This way of life redirected me from overactivity toward contemplation, discernment, and rooted preaching. Supported by fraternity, I now strive to share Christ through contemplative, active presence in the world.
